Use of information
European Capital receives names and e-mail addresses through its web site only when personally submitted to us through our various contact features. These mechanisms allow users to request written materials, and information is gathered with users' knowing, active permission and participation. European Capital respects the privacy of users and does not share any personally identifiable information with any third parties unless authorised to do so by the relevant person.
In addition to the company's safeguards, your personal data is protected in the UK by the Data Protection Act. This provides amongst other things that the data we hold about you should be processed lawfully and fairly. It should be accurate, relevant and not excessive. You have the right to see what is held about you and correct any inaccuracies online. You can do this by making a written request to European Capital, and payment of a fee for which European Capital is allowed by law to charge, you are entitled:
- to be told whether European Capital (or someone on its behalf) is processing your personal data;
- to be given a description of the data, the purposes for which it is being processed and those to whom it may be disclosed;
- to be given in permanent form all the information which forms any such data; and
- to be given any information available to European Capital as to the source of the data
